I was only 14 when I decided to follow Jesus and pursue a relationship with Him. Early on in my walk my love for people and serving them grew. My junior year of High School I went on two missions trips to Las Vegas and Belize with the CCWG High School Ministry. During those two missions was when the Lord opened my eyes and gave me a strong desire to serve the broken, wherever they may be. My second year of college I began assisting Pastor Eric and the Young Adult Ministry for two years, this is where God revealed to me my gift for administrative work. Currently, I work as a Pre School Teacher, and with this opportunity I’ve learned to love and care for children, my desire to teach them has also grown. The Lord, in His timing has allowed me to be equipped with administrative skills and experience with youth of all ages and has opened the door for me to use these skills on the mission field.
Ministry and Outreach
Iyana Diego will be making a nine month commitment to working in Uganda, Africa. She will be staying in Arua and working alongside the Onzima family at Calvary Chapel Arua. God has blessed Iyana with love for administration, assisting, and discipleship, which will all be valuable skills as she helps with Promise Child in Uganda, girls discipleship with another missionary, Becky, anything CC Arua needs, and whatever else the Lord has in store for her in Uganda. Iyana says she wants to enter the mission field with open hands to everything the Lord places before her.
