It was in 6th grade that the Lord got a hold of my heart and I repented of my sin and took up my cross. I started reading my Bible every day and the Lord started to move in my life day by day. I was a timid kid, and overcoming fear was the greatest thing that I needed to happen in my life. I wanted to be bold for my Savior. Junior year of high school, a team of high schoolers from Westgrove went to Las Vegas to preach the gospel. My heart was stirred but I was unable to go. When the team got back, and I saw the passion they had for Jesus and the gospel, I had to be a part of it. I started hitting the streets and slowly but surely the Lord gave me such a passion that I had to tell everyone around me. I was a part of starting an evangelism ministry at our church in 2016 and it is one of my great passions to this day. My other great passion is for God's word. It was around that same time in high school that I was asked to teach a Bible study. More and more opportunities opened up and now this one to go to India (August 2018-December 2018), Nepal (January 2019 - May 2019), and Uganda (May 2019 - August 2019) and teach God's Word a Bible colleges and to whoever else will listen. My final great passion is for the unreached people groups of the world, the people who have never heard the name of Jesus before.
The main ministry we will be doing is equipping pastors and future pastors to be men who know the Word of God and know how to study and teach it. I will spend four and a half months teaching at the CC Bible college in India, then four and a half months teaching at the CC Bible College in Nepal, and then 3 months in Uganda ministering in the refugee camp and villages in the area. Though I will be mainly teaching, I want to make individual and group discipleship a priority outside the classroom as I will be living with the students and do my best build relationships with all the people around.
In the midst of all of this ministry and whenever I get a chance, I want to be about evangelism. Whether that be taking out groups of students, or just setting aside time whenever I can to walk through the village and see who will listen to the good news. I will also be looking for every opportunity to reach those who have never heard of Jesus before, so pray that God will open doors and lead us to the right contacts. I also will have my Civil Engineering Degree by the time I leave so I will look for ways to use my degree to help the community and open doors to share with more people.
- That I would stand strong and draw ever closer to the Lord, and be a man who is filled with and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
- That He would use me to teach His word in all diligence and purity.
- That He would prepare the hearts of the people we will be teaching and reaching.
- That there would be unity among whomever I am working with.
- For open doors for us to proclaim the gospel with boldness.
